MPA and its principals have over 30 years experience in the real estate, retail and financial industries in North America and abroad. 1995 to Present Provided confidential consulting and advisory services on contemplated major transactions/portfolios/valuations, etc. In addition, MPA has consulted on several important smaller scale transactions for clients and their financial/legal advisors.
   
2010 MPA is actively working on several high profile, confidential projects for world-class, international retailers.
   
2009-2010 Finalized market entry strategy and multiple deals for Global Powerhouse and Victoria's Secret in Canada.
   
2009-2010 Completed acquisition of Canadian stores and head office of Tall Girl for UK-based Long Tall Sally, as well as completing the initial entry of Long Tall Sally into the United States.
   
2008 Limited Brands. Facilitated 10 store package for successful launch of Bath & Body Works in Canada. Focused on leading properties in GTA.
   
2007 American Eagle. Finalized new flagship American Eagle store: 17,428 sq. ft. at Peel and St. Catherine Street in Montreal.
   
2007-2008 Aerie finalized important new stores, including Toronto Eaton Centre flagship, for launch of Aerie by American Eagle in Canada.
   
2006-2007 La Senza Corporation sale at $628Million USD to the Limited Brands (owners of Victoria's Secret, etc.)
   
2006 Certified as Expert Witness by Ontario Superior Court
   
2006 – Isabella Company Completed lease for new Basler boutique in Montreal
   
2005 – SAAN Completed highly successful restructuring for SAAN Stores Limited - 142 stores dealing with more than 100 separate landlords.
   
2004 – Denninghouse Inc. Advisory services/dispositions in the restructuring of the 313 store Buck or Two chain under CCAA.
   
2004 – Anne.x Inc. Divestiture of 34 store portfolio.
   
2003 – Suzy Shier Divestiture of 178 store portfolio.
   
2003 – Cotton Ginny Lease Valuation for Trustee.
   
2002 – The Children’s Place Acquisition of 23 leases from Comark’s Young Canada and Au Coin des Petits divisions and subsequent Canada-wide expansion.
   
2002 – La Senza Inc. Acquisition of several important leases from Northern Group.
   
2001 – Fairweather Ltd. Acquisition of 73 store chain from Receiver.
   
2001 – Bi-way Disposition of Bi-way Real Estate Portfolio. MPA handled the marketing and disposition of more than 240 former Bi-way leases generating significant added revenue for the Receiver.
   
2000 – American Eagle Outfitters Acquisition of 177 leases of the Braemer and Thrifty’s/Bluenotes divisions of Dylex Limited. MPA renegotiated leases, permitting the conversion of 46 Braemer stores to American Eagle.
   
1999 – Pacific Linen Wind-up of Seattle-based company, including dispositions.
   
1996 – La Senza UK Public offering and expansion of La Senza in the United Kingdom.
   
1996 – Consumers Distributing Wind-up of national retail company.
   
1995 – Dylex Limited MPA successfully led Dylex Limited, Canada’s largest retailer, through a difficult, yet very successful restructuring under CCAA.

MPA is also involved in a wide variety of project assignments, including acquisitions and dispositions, restructurings, portfolio valuations, management consulting, strategic planning, and similar projects assisting multi-location companies with managing and optimizing their leased and owned real estate portfolios. Although our primary focus is retail, our skill set and experience is readily transportable and we have completed corporate office space, warehouse/distribution centres, and similar challenges. MPA’s principal, Mike Parker, qualified as an Expert Witness in The Ontario Superior Court of Justice in 2006. MPA provides private consulting services for retailers, corporations (including some Fortune 500 companies) and investor groups.
